Product updates
We ship improvements continuously. Here's what's new in iBooker.online — new features, refinements and fixes.
- Improved
Links to a single service now open at the right location
If you link straight to one service (for example from a service page on your site), the widget now checks which of your locations actually offer it. When only one does, it opens there immediately; when several do, it asks — but lists only those locations, instead of all of them. Links that already name a location keep going straight there, unchanged.
- New
Choose the order your locations are listed in
Square lists locations in its own order, which isn't always the one you want clients to see first. In Square Settings you can now arrange them yourself. Any location you add in Square later still appears automatically, after the ones you've ordered.
- New
Service area on the map for mobile locations
For a location Square marks as MOBILE — one you travel from rather than one clients visit — the map can now show the area you cover instead of a single pin. Set the radius in kilometres in Square Settings, and it appears on the booking page and the confirmation.
- Improved
Improved reliability and privacy handling
The booking widget now works correctly for visitors whose browser restricts site storage — common in Firefox and Safari with strict privacy settings. Previously the checkout step could stop responding for them; it now continues normally, simply without remembering the session between visits.
- New
Booking widget now speaks Japanese and Russian
日本語 and Русский join English, French and Spanish in Square Settings → Language. Auto-detect picks them up from the visitor's browser (or your page's own language when the widget is embedded), or you can pin one for everyone. As before, only the widget's own text is translated — your service, staff and location names stay exactly as entered in Square.
- New
Custom questions on the booking form
Ask clients anything Square's standard fields don't cover — in Square Settings → Form fields. Eight field types (short and long text, number, date, dropdown, single choice, multiple choice, yes/no checkbox), each optional or required, reorderable, and set to full or half width so two can share a row. Answers arrive in two places: added to the appointment note in Square, so you see them right on the booking, and as their own section in the new-booking email.
- Fixed
Specialist picker could disappear after joining a waitlist
If a client joined a waitlist and then opened another service, the "Choose specialist" step could render empty — and every service added afterwards was silently booked as "Any available", even for businesses that have that option turned off in Square. The picker now always appears, and the client's own choice is respected.
- Fixed
Embedded widget could 404 on sites that self-host/optimize scripts
Some site performance plugins (e.g. WordPress's LiteSpeed Cache JS optimization) download and re-serve third-party scripts from the site's own domain — including ours. That silently broke every booking link, sending visitors to a 404 instead of the widget. Now detected and corrected automatically, no site changes needed.
- Improved
Faster, more resilient availability checks
Checking available times or staff for an already-picked location no longer touches our own database at all — one less thing that can slow down or interrupt the most-used step of booking.
- New
Japan added to phone number support
The phone field, sign-in, and checkout now support Japanese numbers (+81), with the same auto-detection and formatting as other supported countries.
- Fixed
Correct prices for zero-decimal currencies (JPY, KRW, and others)
Prices, deposits, and totals for currencies without cents — like Japanese Yen and Korean Won — were showing 100x too low. They now display correctly everywhere: the booking page, checkout, confirmation emails, and My Bookings.
- New
TikTok Pixel support
Add your TikTok Pixel ID in Square Settings — Analytics to send page views and booking events (AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase, Schedule) straight to TikTok Ads, with the same duplicate-conversion protection as GA4 and Meta when the widget is embedded on your site.
- New
OpenAI Ads Pixel support
Add your OpenAI Ads Pixel ID in Square Settings — Analytics to send page views and booking events automatically, with the same duplicate-conversion protection as your other tracking pixels when the widget is embedded on your site.
- Improved
Auto-detect language now follows your site's own page language too
When the widget's language is set to Auto and it's embedded on your site, it now prefers your page's own <html lang> (handy for sites with separate language versions) before falling back to the visitor's browser language.
- Fixed
Widget reopens correctly from a shared link or page refresh
Opening a link like yoursite.com/page#ibooker (or refreshing the page while the widget was open) now reopens the widget automatically, instead of leaving you on a page that looks like it should already be open.
- New
Turn off your own booking email alerts
In Settings — Notifications, the project owner can now switch off their own new-booking and waitlist emails. Any other confirmed recipients you've added keep receiving alerts as usual.
- Fixed
Services with no bookable staff no longer show on the booking page
If every team member assigned to a service had online booking turned off in Square, the service still appeared here with nothing to actually book. It's now hidden, matching what Square's own booking site shows.
- Fixed
Phone input no longer jumps to the end while typing
Editing a phone number in the middle of the field used to snap the cursor back to the end after each keystroke. You can now edit any part of the number naturally.
- New
Canada added to phone number support
The phone field now supports Canadian numbers, automatically detecting US vs. Canada based on the number entered.
- New
Multi-language booking widget: English, French & Spanish
Your booking page can now speak your customers' language. Set it in Square Settings — Auto-detect matches each visitor's browser, or force English, French or Spanish for everyone. Only the page's own text translates; service, staff and location names stay exactly as entered in Square.
- New
Scope a booking page to specific locations
In Square Settings, choose exactly which of your Square account's locations show up on this project's booking page. Handy if you run more than one iBooker project off the same Square account — each one can now show a different set of locations.
- Improved
Traffic source in the new-booking email
The email you get for every new booking now includes where the customer came from — the ad campaign, UTM tags or referring site — whenever that information is available.
- Fixed
Waitlist date/time fields on mobile
The optional date and time range fields on the waitlist form no longer overlap on narrow phone screens.
- New
Push alerts for new bookings
Enable push notifications in Settings → Notifications to receive an instant alert on each new booking, even when iBooker is closed. Notifications are private to the merchant and the specific device; on iPhone and iPad, add iBooker to the Home Screen first.
- New
Show times in your business time zone
A new option (admin → Square Settings → Time zone) pins every time on the booking site and My Bookings to your location's own time zone instead of each visitor's. Default behavior is unchanged.
- Fixed
Non-taxable services no longer show tax
Services marked Non-taxable in Square were still getting tax lines at checkout. The Square flag is now respected.
- Improved
My Bookings: address and time zone
Each booking now shows the location's address right in the list, and every time is labeled with its time zone.
- Improved
Smoother step navigation
Moving between booking steps no longer briefly re-loads the page — transitions are instant.
- Improved
Snappier booking steps under load
Square data (locations, staff, settings) is now served from a short server-side cache — steps open faster and busy moments no longer pile up requests. Your own settings changes still apply instantly.
- Improved
Service photos load much faster
Photos are now resized and compressed on our servers (a 10 MB original becomes a ~3 KB thumbnail), cached, and fade in over a placeholder while loading.
- Improved
Faster flow for single-service bookings
When Square's "multiple services per booking" setting is off, tapping Add to booking now takes the client straight to the time picker — no more stopping at the services list they can't add anything else from.
- Fixed
Deep-link buttons work on repeat clicks
An embedded button pointing at a specific service opened it only on the first click — after browsing inside the widget, clicking the button again just reopened the widget where you left it. Now every click navigates to the linked location and service, without losing the visitor's cart.
- Improved
Links and formatting in service descriptions
Service descriptions now keep the rich formatting you set in Square — clickable links, underline, bold and bullet lists — instead of falling back to plain text. Paragraph spacing stays consistent no matter how many blank lines the description contains.
- Fixed
Paragraphs preserved in descriptions
Service, staff and location descriptions written with paragraphs in Square used to render as one solid block of text on the booking page. Line breaks are now preserved, so longer descriptions read the way you wrote them.
- New
Extra recipients for booking alerts
Add up to 5 email addresses — your front desk, a manager, the whole team — that get notified about every new booking and waitlist join, alongside the owner (Settings → Notifications). Each address confirms with one click before alerts start, and everyone shares a single email per booking.
- New
Waitlist when everything is booked
When no specialist has an open slot in the booking window, the service now offers “Join Waitlist” instead of a dead end. Clients can leave a preferred date and time range, the request is saved to their Square customer profile, and you get an email alert the moment someone joins.
- New
Deep links for the embed widget
Point any button on your site straight at a specific location or service: the widget opens with it pre-selected. Works via simple attributes on the embed code or a plain link (for site builders where buttons only take a URL) — the Embed tab now generates the exact snippet for your choice.
- Improved
Services shown per location
Multi-location businesses: the booking page now respects Square's per-location item visibility, so each location's page (and deep-linked widget) only lists the services actually offered there.
- Fixed
Checkout timer no longer jumps back
The slot-hold countdown at checkout could restart from a stale value after a reload — it now keeps counting down correctly.
- Improved
Accurate traffic source for embedded widget bookings
When the widget is embedded as an iframe on your own site, it now carries UTM tags and click IDs (Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, LinkedIn) through to the booking page — so GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel correctly attribute the visit instead of showing it as direct or “not set”.
- New
Require a deposit at booking (beta)
You can now charge a deposit — a percentage or a fixed amount, applied to all services — the moment a client books online. Payments run through Square with 3-D Secure support; if the card is declined, the appointment simply isn't created. Each paid booking gets a note on the appointment in your Square calendar with the amount paid and the remaining balance, your refund terms are shown to clients at checkout, and My Bookings shows clients what they've already paid. Enable it in Settings → Payments.
- Improved
Book up to 90 days ahead
The booking window is now configurable: let clients book 30, 60 or 90 days in advance (Settings → Custom settings). Your Square “max lead time” is still respected when it's stricter.
- New
See your widget bookings in Statistics
The Statistics tab now lists the actual appointments booked through your widget — pulled live from Square, including past ones, newest first — with the customer, service, assigned team member, price and status. It loads on demand and pages back through your history, so opening the tab stays fast.
- Improved
Phone numbers masked on screen
Phone numbers now appear masked — only the last couple of digits are shown — on the booking form and in My Bookings, so a number isn't fully visible on a shared screen or in a screenshot. Customer sign-in continues to rely on SMS verification to keep saved details private.
- Improved
Nicer support chat
Links sent in the support chat are now clickable, and tapping an attached screenshot opens it in a full-screen preview right in the chat instead of a new browser tab.
- Fixed
Accurate “Price varies” label
Services with variable pricing now read “Price varies” on the booking page — matching what your customers see in Square — instead of “By request only”.
- Improved
Smarter phone defaults and cleaner booking previews
Auto-detect phone country now falls back to the business location before browser language, so customers do not get a UK mask just because their browser uses English (UK). Booking link previews also no longer use mismatched Square logo images when shared.
- New
International phone numbers with smart country masks
The booking form and My Bookings sign-in now accept phone numbers from the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, France, Germany and Spain. The country is detected automatically from the visitor's location, the input formats the number with the right mask as they type, and a searchable country picker (with flags and dial codes) is one tap away. Existing US customers see no change — their saved numbers keep working.
- New
Email alerts for every new booking
You now get an email the moment a customer books — with the service, assigned team member, date and time, and the customer's contact details. Square doesn't send staff notifications for bookings made through the widget, so we send our own, automatically.
- Improved
Browser back closes the embed widget
When customers open booking from the floating button or your own “Book” link, the page URL gets a #ibooker hash. The browser back button closes the panel — including when focus is inside the booking iframe — instead of leaving your site. Closing the widget (×, overlay or Esc) clears the hash again.
- Fixed
SMS sign-in inside the embedded widget
Phone verification no longer fails with “session expired” when customers book through the iframe on your own website. The first “Send code” tap now delivers the text reliably (including My Bookings sign-in), and resend works the same as on the standalone booking page.
- Improved
Clearer checkout validation messages
Invalid email or phone errors now appear directly under the field that needs fixing — instead of a generic message at the bottom of the form.
- New
Grant a webmaster access to your project
Owners can now invite a teammate or webmaster by email (project settings → General → Access). They sign in with their own account and can manage the project and connect Square — without sharing your login. Billing, deleting the project, and the access list stay owner-only, access can be revoked any time, and a granted email must be confirmed before it works.
- Improved
Time-zone label on availability & confirmation
Available time slots and the booking confirmation now note that times are shown in the visitor's local time zone — so customers booking from another region know exactly which clock the times refer to.
- New
Booking statistics for every project
See how your widget performs at a glance: new visits, confirmed bookings and revenue — per project, with 7-, 30- and 90-day and all-time filters. Key numbers appear right on each project card, with a full Statistics tab for the daily breakdown. Counts reflect real, confirmed bookings only.
- Fixed
Clearer card-on-file handling at checkout
If a card can't be saved (for example when the bank declines it), the booking now stops with a clear message and asks for another card — instead of ever showing a confirmation for a booking that didn't actually go through.
- New
Live support chat across the site
Added a built-in support chat — available from your dashboard and across the site. Attach screenshots, and get replies in real time. We answer daily 10:00–20:00 (Moldova time), shown in your local time.
- Improved
Simpler, lower pricing
New per-project pricing: $7.90/month, or $60/year — that's just $5/month billed annually. Every project still starts with a free trial.
- Improved
Sharper conversion tracking
Booking events (location, service, staff, availability, checkout and purchase) now fire cleanly to GA4, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel — including through the embedded widget on your own site, with no duplicate events.
- New
Embeddable booking widget
Add booking to your own website in minutes — as a floating button, a slide-out panel, a custom-button trigger, or an inline frame. Lightweight and built not to slow your site down.
- Improved
Card on file by default & no-show protection
Projects now request a card on file by default (when your Square account supports card processing) — protecting you against no-shows. You can change this anytime in Appearance settings.
- Fixed
Smoother checkout
The booking page now validates each field inline and scrolls you to anything that's missing, the phone field has a clean +1 mask, and duplicate bookings are prevented end-to-end.
